security system design risk assessment security surveys family safety

ecurity surveys are designed to understand the security needs within a site, such as a residential estate. With needs identified, a survey will look at the areas listed below to identify potential areas of concern. Often, a survey will show areas in which risk has been previously recognized and appropriate measures to mitigate such risk have been developed, typically in the form of a security program. Security surveys can identify areas of concern or risk, previously undetected.

Each area is closely scrutinized and the findings compiled into a comprehensive report which shows areas of concern. Then a course of action is recommended, identifying security solutions. The areas of focus typically include:

  • Security Program
  • Policy, procedures, programs and practices
  • Estate access control
  • Technology based security systems (alarms, card access, and CCTV)
  • Emergency communications and provisions plans
  • Crime trends within the community

At Protection Design, Inc much of our focus is on executive estate surveys. However, a survey can be applied to a number of other applications, such as an executive protection program, or perhaps a stand-alone analysis of a corporate facility. The goal of a survey always remains the same; it is designed to determine the effectiveness of an existing security program.

A survey should also identify ways to enhance a security program to minimize criminal opportunities, demonstrate security consciousness, and thwart criminal acts.

At Protection Design, Inc we regularly conduct security surveys for residential estates, corporate campuses and industrial facilities. Our surveys provide you with clear and concise understanding of challenges within your operation and or facility in addition to solutions to resolve and reduce risk within those challenges.
