Randy Biglow is the President & CEO of Protection Design, Inc., with fifteen years in the security industry. He is an instructor with the Executive Protection Institute (EPI), providing training in Advance work, Threat Assessment and other areas in executive protection. He has recently been named as a Director for the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET). Past positions have included a seat on the Board of Directors of a Canadian company, Identex.

Prior to the founding of Protection Design, Inc., Mr. Biglow was with Kroll Inc., where he managed and oversaw corporate investigations, executive protection and security consulting. Working with clients, he provided consultation, including security program design and implementation and workplace violence response, and developed executive protection programs. He also worked with the company’s Global Product Protection program, working with clients in resolving product counterfitting problems.

Before joining Kroll, Mr. Biglow was Senior Director of Operations, Western Region for IPSA International, Inc. (IPSA), where he oversaw complex investigations, workplace violence response, and executive protection services to world class corporate executives. He was an instructor for IPSA Internationals Executive Protection Plus Academy.

With Business Consulting and Investigations (BCI), he specialized in sub rosa investigations and covert installations, including surveillance operations, covert camera surveillance installations, CCTV system design, retail loss prevention and internal theft investigations.

 

Previous professional history includes self-employment, when Mr. Biglow designed, developed and operated a completely self-contained mobile surveillance unit, and provided surveillance services for corporate and insurance investigations. Other experience involves retail loss prevention consisting primarily of internal investigations, including undercover operations, surveillance, interrogations and court testimony. He trained new loss prevention personnel in shoplift detection, internal theft, and covert surveillance installation, designed and installed CCTV systems, and designed and coordinated a retail employee training program for several major retail department stores. In the United States Air Force as a Security Policeman, Mr. Biglow trained and handled dogs used in detecting explosive devices, and his duties included all areas of law enforcement patrol protection for dignitaries at various military functions and facilities.
